Greetings from the Captain…
August 11, 2009
‘Tis that time of the season again, and the crew and I are glad to have ye newcomers on board our yacht club. We hope yer all ready for some adventurous voyages and bloodcurdling battles! Of course we can’t forget those of you who have been here from the beginning, too.
But this time, ye be WARNED! If any of yer mangy rascals pulls another hair-raising stunt same as last year, ye’ll be kicked overboard without a moment’s butts about it.
Francis, I got me eyes on you ‘specially.
All the rest of yer, me boats are ready and floating. Have yer competitive spirits rising and see yer on board!
- Captain Puddleduck.
Opening Night: Tuesday, August 11
August 10, 2009
If you’ve no idea what this whole MUDFEST thing is, well, do we have a party invitation for you.
(No, don’t answer, that’s rhetorical. But we do have a party invitation for you.)
Tomorrow night – or tonight, if you’re reading this in the future – MUDFEST will be launching itself into the artistic stratosphere with a massive party filled with unique performances (belly dancing, anyone?), a short film, artist interviews, and even an authentic Jemima Puddleduck Collective boat.
And it’s all gluten free!*
The opening night party kicks off at 7pm at the Festival Club – that’s the Open Stage in the University’s Art Centre, directions on the site – and there’ll be cheap drinks, strange food, and artistic weirdos all night. We hope to see you there.
* Opening night may contain traces of gluten.
